The Office of the Clerk serves as the official record keeper of the US House of Representatives, and supports the nonpartisan legislative functions of the institution, including disseminating legislative information and supporting technological advancement. With an abiding dedication to service, transparency, and accessibility, Legislative Computer Systems is building the next generation of applications to support this mission and provide information to our government partners and the public.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS · Seven (7) or more years of experience in an IT-related field, including significant experience in business or systems analysis. · Demonstrated experience eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business and technical requirements for IT development projects. · Demonstrated experience translating stakeholder needs into functional and technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to evaluate business needs, system impacts, and tradeoffs. · Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate requirements, impacts, and priorities to technical and non-technical audiences. · Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. It would be ideal if your experience also includes: · Experience supporting backlog refinement, user acceptance testing, and release planning. · Familiarity with data-driven or integrated enterprise systems. · Experience working in Agile delivery environments. · Knowledge of the federal legislative and law-making process. · Knowledge of project management and product ownership practices, including experience aligned with PMP and/or Agile Product Owner or ScrumMaster frameworks Hiring for this position is governed by the Veterans Employment Opportunities Act.
